Beef Jerky – Using Lean Steak – Made in Australia!

This is a quick rundown of the recipe which my other half uses to make Beef Jerky. I also show how to lay it out on the home dehydrator to let it dry out. It’s a quick process and tastes super yum once finished. ======================================== Ingredients: Approx 700g Lean beef steak (Rump or Round) 4 Tbspn Soy Sauce 4 Tbspn Worcestershire Sauce 1 Tbspn Tomato Sauce 1 Tbspn Grated Ginger 1/4 Tspn Black Pepper 1 Tbspn Curry Powder 2 cloves grated garlic 1/2 tspn salt Marinate for 4 -6 hours in the fridge. Slide meat slices through fingers to wipe off excess liquid. Place on dehydrator trays, close together but not touching. Run dehydrator on Meat setting for around 6 – 8 hours – depending on how thinly sliced, you will need to check it throughout the drying process. The strips should be dry, with no or very few moisture marks. Even though they may be crispy and breakable to the touch, they will still be perfectly edible. Enjoy!
